Cycle of Empowerment and Oppression

Empowerment and oppression are closely linked to each other. Empowerment is a social and political strength of individual used to control oppression, the physical harassment and harm. The concept depicts that the process of unleashing the human potential and enhancing the human ability to maintain societal growth (Woloch, pp. 19-37). Moreover, the cycle of empowerment and oppression can be viewed as a power to deal with unlawful exaction, severity and cruelty. The cycle revolves between empowerment and excessive use of authority that leads towards injustice. Empowerment is easy to define by its absence but difficult to defines by actions as it takes different forms in different contexts (Rapport, pp.245).

The women experiences different actions directly or indirectly during great depression .Undeniably, they suffered a lot when society viewed them as a snatcher whereas, they were working under womens traditional sphere. The women showed empowerment to deal with depression in order to defend depression. However, the depression altered family in various ways and left many psychological effects when many families left their homes without assets and resources.

Whereas, the crash had devastated the nation with unemployment and homeliness. Secondly, the disaster struck largely in homeliness where people had no houses to live, which greatly affect women and their family lives. Moreover, the new deal calls the three Rs that are relief, reform and recovery of economy during great depression period. The deal reveals inside the region to give freedom and mental peace of employment and homes to badly affected people. The deal affected women by giving them opportunities to live with freedom and with their men and provided them strength to explore heir talent.
